Children's Nature

Children's Nature is a project that aims to understand the factors that we as adults need to address to change the current worrying picture of self-harm, suicide and depression amongst children and teenagers.

With funding from UnLtd, Children's Nature will be printed as a booklet and sent to every primary school in Gloucestershire as a pilot project.  It will include a summary of the major findings on childhood depression, practical things that parents can do to help and a questionnaire to assess the needs for the next steps.

A recent enquiry claimed that 3.5 million younger children were affected by a worrying loss of childhood, whilst many studies claim thtat as many as 1 in 33 children are depressed.  This has to be looked at.

If you have any thoughts or input that you would like to be included in this important project, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
